MnBS Hall of Fame

The MN Blues Hall of Fame is a historical record of those who have made the Blues timeless through performance, documentation, recording and sponsoring.

This year, the Minnesota Blues Society will induct new members into the Blues Hall of Fame for their historical contribution, impact and overall influence on the Blues in Minnesota.

The celebration of the Hall of Fame will take place in two parts: an induction ceremony in October and a “Celebration of Honorees” at the Annual Party.

Hall of Fame Honorees 2022

The Minnesota Blues Society introduced a new format for the 2022 Minnesota Blues Hall of Fame Ceremony.

At the October 16th Hall of Fame Ceremony, we will have new Inductees in five categories:  Keeping the Blues Alive (KBA), Performer, Sideman, Legacy, and Legend Inductees will be presented.

Four Hall of Fame Inductees will be honored at the Annual Business Meeting and Holiday Party in December.  These categories are Arts/Literature/Media, Supportive of the Blues/Non-performer, Blues Song, and Blues Recording.

The Hall of Fame Committee had feedback after the 2021 Ceremony concerning the length of the Ceremony and the order of the presentations.  We are addressing that feedback with the new format.
